How China defeated COVID-19

China perfected Contact Tracing, Treatment, Isolation, Observation (CTTIO) and even if there is a breakout of one or two cases, the country executes a perfect plan for locating “patient zero” and all possible at-risk persons.

“America in particular, being the global epicenter for COVID-19, but the whole world must learn and construct a national system for  Contact Tracing, Treatment, Isolation, Observation. (CTTIO) and stop killing its people. It would save $trillions and many thousands of lives,” says one of the experts FPMag interviewed for this report.

China didn’t invent CTTIO, it just perfected the discipline in full transparency.

“The high infectivity during the incubation period led to short generation and serial intervals, necessitating aggressive control measures such as early case finding and quarantine of close contacts,” concludes a detailed report published earlier this month by Europe’s journal on infectious disease surveillance, epidemiology, prevention and control.

This study  firmly validates China’s adherence to strict CTTIO and emphatically urges other nations to do the same as is done in Germany, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, and many other nations.

Here is an example:

“As of 24:00 hours on October 25, 31 provinces of China reported 265 confirmed cases (of which 4 were serious cases); a cumulative total of 80,911 cases were cured and discharged from hospital; 4,634 cumulative deaths were reported; a cumulative total of 85,810 confirmed cases were reported; and 6 existing cases were suspected. A cumulative total of 851,586 close contacts were traced (CTTIOand 8,317 close contacts were still under medical observation,” says the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China.

China health care is precise, with quick & well-executed CTTIO.

Just one case of COVID-19 can trigger a series of events that finds every person who was in near contact and may have been infected by the case. Very often if not always the system finds “Patient Zero”, if that is what the  CTTIO. teams seek.

Watch: CTTIO in Qingdao

The  CTTIO success in Qingdao, coastal city in China’s Shandong Province is 11 million tests in five days.

Explains a television newscaster,
“At midnight on Oct. 11, the local health commission reported three new asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 in the daytime, adding that the specific source of infection was still under investigation.

“After another nine infections were reported around 3 a.m. on Oct. 12, the commission was worrying that COVID-19 was poised to make a comeback in the city.

“Given the uncertainty surrounding the source and scale of the new outbreak, Qingdao initiated a citywide nucleic acid testing campaign covering all 11 million residents and vowed to complete it within five days starting from Oct. 12.

“Residents started to line up at testing points on squares and playgrounds as well as in parks.”

“It was a responsible move for the good of everyone,” said a local resident surnamed Wang.

Actually this response to three initial cases of COVID-19 is not all that unusual in China, but certain proof that China’s catalogued process for CTTIO is ready to jump into action. This is the pride of the people working on the various teams including registration workers; test screeners;  testing medical examiners; tracing interviewers; and investigators.

“CTTIO is taught in growing numbers of graduate and vocational school classes here, moreso as time passes. CTTIO is a good career choice. The teamwork and esprit de corps is exemplary,” agree two Chinese nurses, Kathy Poon and Sara Qin, practitioners and teachers, who both say they are “proud of the time we have spent working on those teams.”

“The secret behind the system is China’s reverence for the value of its people’s health and security. Every member of the teams is devoted to full achievement of their role. Patients are treated with kindness and sincerity,” says Sara Qin who received numerous commendations during the Wuhan outbreak crisis for the top performances of her unit in saving lives. She was on hand with a group of frontliners to greet Xi Jinping during one of his supportive visits in the midst of the crisis.

“Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Wuhan, Hubei province, on 10 March 2020, as the number of new infections in mainland China continued to drop, with just 19 cases of COVID-19, confirmed a day earlier. Xi Jinping was greeted initially in Wuhan by doctors. He was then introduced to rows of nurses standing at attention with great pride whom he thanked graciously for their service,” says Nurse Sara Qin who was among the welcomers chosen by the health care directorate of Wuhan.  Xinhua Photo

A Valid Prophecy

According to an interview published on National Public Radio:

Citing Twitter: NPR: “Trump did not push to do aggressive testing because more testing might have led to more cases being discovered of the Coronavirus outbreak, and Trump made it clear the lower the numbers on Coronavirus, the better for the president and his re-election this fall.”

China has been 100% transparent say all parties who needed to be close to the source.

Mr. Fred Harris, a biostatistician who leads the Singapore tracking team for the Civil Society Partners for COVID-19 Global Solidarity  says, “that since the outbreak began, Beijing has been 100% transparent. There were some issues with local level officials in Wuhan who did not know what to do and therefore they made some errors in judgment on the severity of the emergence of a pneumonia of unknown etiology.”

Harris and his workers in Singapore must obtain detailed information daily from the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China.

“Yes, every day at 8:00 am (Beijing GMT+8)  for over 280 days,  except when they were a little late or when we were late checking, we got the data fully and transparently. In fact we got every data we wanted,” said Harris.

“I wish there was a way I could close my ears when Trump comes on the satellite TV saying the lies he is in the habit of telling. America must learn, construct and teach a national system for Contact Tracing, Treatment, Isolation, Observation. (CTTIO) and stop killing its people. CTTIO would save $trillions of dollars and many thousands of lives,” Harris added.

“This is a new career path for medical students,” said Dr. Harris. “It will for certain be a way ahead for modern society. Expect many more viral infections in the future. We still haven’t even solved HIV after decades of haphazard effort.”

“There were no abnormal delays in the transmission of 2019-nCoV data.”

“Xi Jin Ping and the World Health Organization learned in December 2019 at the same time that something was wrong when WHO’s office in the People’s Republic of China picked up a media statement by the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission.

“The WHO office notified the International Health Regulations focal point in the WHO Western Pacific office about the Wuhan statement of the cases and provided a translation. WHO’s Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources platform also picked up a media report on ProMED (a programme of the International Society for Infectious Diseases) about the same cluster of “pneumonia of unknown etiology” that local Wuhan health officials were trying to trace,” Harris explained.

According to WHO, ‘it was at this point authorities from around the world contacted WHO seeking additional information’.

In a report of the Brookings institute, Jamie P. Horsley reported that “Beginning December 27, doctors in Wuhan reported several cases of an unusual pneumonia, seemingly associated with a wet market selling wild animals.”

“Wuhan health authorities quickly investigated and, amid social media leaks, publicly announced details about the outbreak on 31 December , closing the suspect market on 1 January,” while the White House was busy planning a mass murder in Baghdad.

“China’s National health authorities,” Ms. Horsley of the Brookings institute wrote, took control over the investigation, and Chinese scientists rapidly identified a new coronavirus, preliminarily confirmed it as the cause of the atypical pneumonia, completely sequenced its genome in record time, developed testing kits, and published multiple sequences through globally-accessible databases on January 11, thereby enabling health facilities around the world to detect cases and manage spread.”

At the same time, the American CDC had the genome sequence and had begun investigative work.

The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, University of Minnesota issued a statement on 10 January saying that “Michael T. Osterholm, PhD, MPH, is pleased to see that health officials and scientists in China have released as much information as they have. He said the main focus now turns toward identifying the animal species that transmitted nCoV to humans and determining whether exposure to those animals poses a threat of outbreaks in other areas.”

Dr. Osterholm is director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, which publishes CIDRAP News in which the official statement was released on 11 January.

US President Trump said he didn’t know anything about all of this but his CDC officials have contradicted this explaining that early in January (between the 7th and the 11th) it had its own copy of the 2019-nCoV genome sequence from China which it had already uploaded to the international database.

At that time Trump claims to have been masterminding the War Crime of mass murder in Baghdad and Yemen on or about 3 January 2020.

Although Donald Trump followed by millions of right-wing extremist Americans erroneously blame China for the novel coronavirus, China, with a 1.4 billion population has masterfully managed the pandemic and life in China has easily returned to normal. (It has been ‘normal‘ in China for people to wear masks since 2003 when the first outbreak of a SARS (SARS-CoV-1) took place.” )

According to the CDC in January 2020, “the causal agent of an outbreak of severe pneumonia in Wuhan, China, is a novel coronavirus, provisionally named 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).”

“The first cases were reported in December, 2019,” says the CDC. “We have described the genomic characteristics of 2019-nCoV and similarities and differences to other coronaviruses, including the virus that caused the severe acute respiratory syndrome epidemic of 2002–03. [SARS-CoV-1]

“Genome sequences of 2019-nCoV sampled from nine patients who were among the early cases of this severe infection are almost genetically identical, which suggests very recent emergence of this virus in humans and that the outbreak was detected relatively rapidly.

“2019-nCoV is most closely related to other betacoronaviruses of bat origin, indicating that these animals are the likely reservoir hosts for this emerging viral pathogen.

“By documenting the presence of 2019-nCoV in a sample of patients, our study extends previous evidence that this virus has led to the novel pneumonia that has caused severe disease in Wuhan and other geographical localities.

“Currently available data suggest that 2019-nCoV infected the human population from a bat reservoir, although it remains unclear if a currently unknown animal species acted as an intermediate host between bats and humans.”
