Sun Jul 24 22:17:34 2016 Welcome to RINJ :

In ancient history, and still in many cultures today, rape is seen less as a type of assault on the female, than a serious property crime against the man to whom she belonged.

What are the Women of The RINJ Foundation doing?

RINJ is a foundation opposed to gender-based violence, especially rape. The RINJ Foundation educates the public, social media providers and traditional media outlets about the perils of sexual violence, misogyny and rape culture. RINJ monitors and reports on actors who commit or order the commission of acts of sexual violence as a tactic of war to humiliate, dominate, instill fear in, disperse and/or forcibly relocate civilian members of a community or ethnic group; monitors and reports on global court proceedings related to rape / sexual assault crime; educates for a more learned and open discussion of the issues of rape and sexual assault; provides education, general information and study resources to prevent rape and to enhance the safety of the person; and overall seeks a higher adherence to safe community standards. RINJ seeks better criminal justice while advancing a rape-averse social conscience, eventually ending sexual violence crime.

Rape Kits

Rape Kits are used to gather forensic information about the sexual violence crime. The RINJ Foundation raises funds for the purchase of 'rape kits' (also known as physical evidence recovery kits [PERK]; sexual offence evidence collection [SOEC] kits) and/or the funding of rape kit testing. Medical professionals complete sexual assault forensic evidence kits which must be quickly tested with results sent to police & prosecutors.

Sex Offenders

RINJ shares learning for the betterment of court processes; provides data to the public about 'wanted' sex offenders/suspects or recently released-from-prison rapists who may be of interest to the community; encourages a more diligent execution of duty by law enforcement investigating sexual violence complaints; educates the public on the latest occurances and approaches to minimizing sexual violence crimes; and plays a role in overseeing how survivors in war-torn countries find remedy.
