We salute three, brave RINJ Foundation workers, Surgeon Buni Nemef (Bonnie) and her two surgical nurses from Deir Ezzor, who from Syria came to Central Gaza and later north Gaza, to help women with complicated birthing issues. Following a bombing attack in early March, they and 12 mothers and babies were killed in a bombing attack on their clinic.

Finally, their remains have been transported to Id Lib, Syria and on Monday, 25 March 2024, their families attended proper funerals.

It took almost a month to achieve that outcome thanks to the help of Jordanian partners. Several Israeli RINJ executives have resigned their posts in protest to the organization allowing this senior medical team to come into Gaza in opposition to Israel’s goals in Gaza.  Obviously, this is a very emotional issue for some persons.

All family members have been briefed and the matter is closed officially, but it never will be closed in our hearts.
