By 31 March 2021, US Congress-impeached President Donald Trump will have helped kill over one million American citizens.
“The Civil Society Partners for Solidarity against COVID-19 is standing fast on its predictions of a million excess deaths due to COIVD-19 in the United States by the beginning of April,” says Fred Harris, a biostatistician who leads the team in Singapore.

“This, despite the fact that as of the 8th of January 2021, the US number of excess deaths has exceeded the trend path to a million by 31 March,” adds Harris.

- America’s health care system is for only the wealthy and not for workers.
- According to the American Lung Association, “16.4 million Americans have been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), but millions more may have the disease without even knowing it.” This comorbid condition increases the probability of COVID-19 patients having a fatal outcome by a very high percentage.
- 10% of Americans are diabetic and 33% are pre-diabetic according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Both conditions increase patient vulnerability for a fatal outcome if infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus notes a report in the Lancet.
- The CDC also says some 40% of American adults are obese and most American adults are overweight. Roughly 20% of USA children are at least level II obese.
- Obesity is a significant comorbid condition that results in a higher probability of death when patient has COVID-19 infection.
